It reminds me of Honorable Justice G Raghuram’s statement in a seminar, “Too much audio-visual input jeopardizes the cognitive ability of the brain” when I see the overwhelming amount of anti-male news and misandry in the media, perpetrated by women’s rights activists, popularly known as “Feminists” – though I prefer to call them as feminazis.

Ever since I grew up, I have been overfed with a feeling that women have always had a raw deal and thus never challenged the rampant misandry in the society – until I realized truth the hard way – by falling victim to the same misandry. However, it led to me an ultimate realization – that in actuality it’s the men who have always had a raw deal in the name of women having it.

One of the foremost social institutions where men get a raw deal and that too, a visible one, is MARRIAGE – wherein men have only responsibilities and punishments to deal with; no peace, no rights.

It is fairly obvious with the fact that there is not only the expectation that a man will take care of the woman’s happiness, but there are umpteen unchallenged anti-male and unconstitutional laws to enforce the same, albeit against a man’s wish.

Moreover, I fail to understand how one human being can ever be expected to take care of the happiness of another human being when happiness is a purely subjective and personalized feeling; what makes one human being happy may not make another human being equally happy or happy at all.

But perverted social setups expect men to take care of the happiness of their wives and punish them if they fail to do so, making it very easy for any wife to rule upon her husband.

Forget rights, men do not even have the basic right to peaceful existence – a man cannot even break the shackles of a tumultuous marriage without sufficient heartburn and financial rampage. Multitude of maintenance laws for the same alleged cause of action ensure that a man is grinned through the financial juggernaut of male-hatred before he gets that much deserved “Freedom” from his torturous and tumultuous wife.

And one such law is the Section 125 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) which is quintessentially the “No-Fault Maintenance Law” wherein a person can get money from a man merely on the basis of the whiff of an existence of a relationship with a man be it his spouse, parents or children. This fact itself shows how men are treated as FREE ATM MACHINES by the society.

And now, “NCW – The hotbed of male hatred” has reinforced one of its earlier proposed highly anti-male recommendations – to award maintenance to a wife even if she is proven to be living in adultery. NCW stands for National Commission for Women and is considered to be an astute body championing the cause of women and it is the same body that seems to be telling the very women it is formed for – “Hey, go ahead and sleep with multiple partners, I will ensure you get payment from every man you sleep with along with social sympathy.”

Is the NCW by any means trying to reduce the gap between “Housewives and Prostitutes” given the fact that the Supreme Court of India recommended legalizing prostitution and the Govt. of India clubbed the “Housewives, prostitutes and beggars” into the same category in the census 2011?

Anyways, the NCW is free to do anything it wants to do with women, as long as it does not disturb men, I am least bothered. However, the current recommendation by the NCW in the article – “Lies and the Law in Indian Divorce Battles” does bother me as it intensifies the treatment of men as FREE ATM MACHINES.

Interestingly, NCW claims that it has made this recommendation after it found that in “70% of maintenance cases under Section 125, men get away with the adultery clause which exempts reliefs to wives.

When confronted with an RTI Application the NCW drew flak and reported that it had “no data at its disposal to back its claims”.

Moreover, a quick glance through the RTI reply also tells us the judgments from various High Courts and the Supreme Court, based on which the NCW came up with the recommendations. It is ironical that 80% of the judgments refer to the lacunae in the law which make it difficult for old parents to seek maintenance from their sons and it is the same judgments referring which NCW makes this blasphemous recommendation of making adultery a reward winning act for women .

These facts itself prove how unscrupulous the NCW is from an organization point of view. It goes ahead and makes a wild recommendation, based on hallucinated assumptions proliferating misandry which affects 33 million odd men in the country and a social factor that contributes to the skyrocketing suicides rates of married men!

And, the Indian Govt. henpecked before a bunch of feminazi male haters bows down to every malicious and pernicious design by them and goes on creating either a new anti-male law or intensifies existing ones and almost all of them target towards systematic extortion of men – the easiest way being from husbands.

The moot question that remains is, “Is not marriage a financial slavery for men?” Either toil like a slave or get ruined financially.

Husband: Wait a second.

1. Skyrocketing expectations from men and nose-diving acceptance levels.
2. Ever-increasing suicides by husbands – 6 times the rate they are born.
3. Family-breaking.
4. Child and elder abuse.
5. Erosion of faith over the institution of marriage leading to promulgation of homosexual relationships, pre-marital sex, sexually transmitted diseases, etc.
6. Increased juvenile crime.
7. Drug abuse.
8. Teenage pregnancies (the trend is catching up and no sooner would be a social reality in India).
9. Resentment amongst affected, victimized and unheard men and their families towards the police, judiciary, the law and order system, the criminal justice system and the Govt. at large.
10. Splurging divorce rates.

All in all, it has created newer, unforeseen and unanticipated problems in the society. However, religious conservatives and social contractors are still not opening their eyes to the problem. Thanks to their stubborn behavior they are compromising human lives and human happiness in their over-zealous efforts to “save” the institution of marriage.

However, quintessentially, all they do is to pressurize the man in the marriage to accept unreasonable demands from the woman and/or the society. For e.g. the recent drama that unfolded in Shoaib Malik’s case. Till the time news of marriage of Shoaib-Sania were not reported no one (including Ayesha and her family) were really bothered about the alleged marriage of Shoaib and Ayesha. But as soon as the news came up, suddenly everyone was interested.

Merely because Shoaib signed on the divorce papers does not validate the marriage because Shoaib had been subjected to “Extortion Patronized by State (EPS)” and was forced to sign the divorce papers. Marriage had been forced unto Shoaib.

A false case under sections 498A, 420 and 506 was lodged against Shoaib and he was publically exhumed by the media. The Imam of Kolkata threatened to issue “Fatwa” against Shoaib if he did not accede to Ayesha’s demands. The police grilled Shoaib for 2 hours and retained his passport as well.

Now my question here is, “Who is Ayesha Siddiqui?” Has anyone bothered to know that? She is just a woman claiming to have married Shoaib some 8 years back! So where was she for 8 years?

No one – the police, the judiciary, the media, the society, the religious conservatives, the social contractors – is really bothered to ask these questions to Ayesha. Why? Merely because she is a woman and Shoaib is a man? So the net result is – when a woman complains against a man in the nature of a marital relationship, the woman is ALWAYS RIGHT, no matter how illogical, after-thought the complaint is and how extortionary are her demands?

When out-rightly Ayesha and her family were denying involvement of any money in the settlement, than why media reports of “150 million of settlement” made rounds? And why now, after allegedly receiving the amount, Ayesha no longer wants to pursue the case?

Is it not a clear case of “Extortion Patronized by State (EPS)?”

The reason I am posing these questions here is because no one else did.

But everyone was either a party or a silent witness to Shoaib’s turmoil of going through a 498A case. It was only SIFF that supported Shoaib which was an unexpected welcome move even by Pakistan.

A woman makes an unsupported claim (of marriage) against a man, does not even come out in open and based on that complaint, the civil liberties of a man is violated, his reputation is strangulated in broad daylight, he is extorted and made to cough out a fortune and no questions are raised against the irrational and unreasonable behavior of the woman, no support is extended to the man and any such support is marked off as “unexpected”!!!

Merely because the allegations pertain to a marital dispute, anything and everything under the sun – starting from violation of civil liberties to broad daylight murder of social reputation to state sponsored extortion (EPS) – goes unchallenged?

Is marriage a crime for men in India?

Because Shoaib was a celebrity, he still faced very little harassment and even his harassment got widespread publicity. Had it been some common man, he would have been thrown behind the bars and no one would have bothered about him and his family even.

As per National Crime Records Bureau in the year 2008 alone, 37369 women and 127492 men lost their civil liberties as they were arrested under Section 498A without trial or investigation. Taking into account 5 years from 2004 – 2008, a total of 160416 women and 550804 men have undergone a similar ordeal.

All this goes on because not only marriage is a crime for Indian men; the Indian Govt. is not taking any steps to contain the abuse of humanity perpetrated by the notorious Section 498A. Indian Govt. is directly responsible for such inhuman treatment of men in India. The Supreme Court of India had warned against Section 498A terming it as “Legal Terrorism” way back on the 20^th of July 2005. Close to five years have passed and the Indian Govt. is sleeping over it.

With the Shoaib Malik episode the “Extortion Patronized by State (EPS)” came out in open completely.

While the dispute between Malik and Siddiqui was completely civil, a wrong law and wronger implementation of the law allowed the Siddiquis to extort the Maliks and a civil dispute was criminalized endangering the civil liberties of an otherwise law abiding citizen. Such criminalization of civil disputes is a very dangerous trend. If the Indian Govt. does not react to this scenario and take a corrective step by scrapping Section 498A, then it will be directly responsible for the civil liberties of citizens being violated, their fundamental right to fair justice being impeached and lives and years of life of innocent people being tanned in this furnace of social injustice.

It is now very clear that the very concept of marriage is crime in India and any woman can extort any man in the name of marriage – whether they met, got married, cohabited together, led a family life et. al. are all pointless debates. What matters is that there is a complaint from a woman against a man and that is basis enough for all kinds of injustices on the accused man – social, legal, financial, emotional, humanitarian – and this is what I object to vehemently.

Even the society does not seem to have any problem with such high dose of inhumanity being practiced widespread. When I started a discussion about this on the Facebook, I got some replies like, “498A is much justified on Shoaib because he ditched Ayesha to marry another woman”.

So there is a pre-judged notion in the society that merely because Ayesha is complaining, Shoaib must have ditched her and that pre-judged notion becomes the basis of all injustices henceforth. If Ayesha was so truthful, why she did not pursue the case? Why accept money? Why not come out in open? But no one will ask these questions as somewhere silently everyone wants criminalization of marriage because it fits the “Male-Disposability Syndrome”.

However, the fact remains – Marriage is a crime for men in India.

Either stop criminalizing marriages or stop marriages!

Article #1 talks about the Supreme Court observing that,

“When you say it is the world’s oldest profession and when you are not able to curb it by laws, why don’t you legalize it? You can then monitor the trade, rehabilitate and provide medical aid to those involved,” Justices Dalveer Bhandari and AK Patnaik told Solicitor-General Gopal Subramaniam.

Whilst article #2 talks about the similarities between marriage and prostitution and also carries an analytical comparison of the two and the final outcome is that, the current context, prostitution outperforms marriage for men.

Now, the Supreme Court has been shouting at the top of its lungs about many things, but the Govt. hardly listens be it the case wherein the Supreme Court named the Section 498A as a tool of legal terrorism way back in May, 2005 but still the Govt. is not ready to scrap the section allowing it to be hijacked by fund chasing radical gender obsessed extremists, or the case where the Supreme Court passed a judgment under Article 142 of the Indian Constitution instructing the Govt. to implement police reforms but does the Govt. listen? Absolutely not.

So, it is very clear that even in this case the Govt. is not going to listen and will not legalize prostitution while marriage continues to be burden on Indian men (being worse than prostitution).

So what should Indian men do in such a situation?

Continue marrying and ruin their lives or stop marrying? Choice belies with them.

So as per the Women and Child Development minister Krishna Tirath, rising complaints of dowry by women is an indication of rising crime against women.

However, there are some key points to note here.

1. Merely filing of a complaint cannot be taken as a straightforward indication of growing crime. Had that been true, then there was no need to have a complex criminal justice system, merely complaints would have become the basis of sentences. However, that not being the truth and complaints required to be proven true is an essence of establishment of a trend of growing crime. However, in case of gender biased women oriented anti male laws number of complaints is taken as the basis of rising trend and this goes unchallenged because the society by default hates men and nourishes misandry.
2. Track record of dowry cases is not very encouraging for the so-called champions of women rights and proponents of anti-male laws to continue such bogus, anti-male and unconstitutional laws to be continued. 98% of dowry cases when brought in court have failed to prove true. They were false alarms raised by greedy and disgruntled women to extort their husbands and in-laws by en-cashing upon the existing sympathy for women in the society. In fact, now dowry law has become synonymous with misuse i.e. a false complaint. And in such a scenario what greater a blunder can be committed by considering number of complaints as the rising trend of crimes?
3. The slow judicial system of India adds to the woes of men who are anyways always at the receiving end of abuse and hatred from the society. Carried away with their sympathy for women, the society allows complaints to form the basis of hatred and it takes on an average 10 years to finish a case. By the time the complaint is proven false and the man is declared innocent, the damage is already done. The same false complaint has formed the basis of rampant male hatred and innumerable innocent men would have been victimized.
4. While 5243 complaints (true or false) have formed the basis of anti-male laws to be continued and strengthened further, it’s so sickening to know that the same society is not ready to take any action on 57000 married men committing suicide every year facing tumultuous and torturous marriages and dowry harassment from their wives and in-laws. But the society ridicules those men as irresponsible considering killing men as social service and provides no protection to them.
5. Over-sensitization of “crime against women” as shown above has sent “crime against men” into oblivion and men are suffering in silence. When a woman lodges a complaint, irrespective of its genuineness it gets registered as “Crime against Women” whereas even with evidence a man’s complaint is registered as “Non-Cognizable”. When the pedestal itself is biased, justice is irrelevant to be talked of.

In fact, the myth of crime created about women has unleashed a truth of hate against men covering their genuine issues. And all this happens because currently there is no concept of men’s rights and in marriage there are only RESPONSIBILITIES for men and no RIGHTS for them.

Still men marry!

Don’t believe it? See this movie scene from the recent bollywood flick Jail by Madhur Bhandarkar which exposes the true color of the all so well intentioned dowry laws of India and for which the Indian Government spends thousands of crores annually from taxpayer’s money (82% of which comes from men).

Indian men, if any sense they have, should vow not to marry after seeing this. Otherwise they are free to walk into hell.

And the Indian Government, in order to mark a respect to the frighteningly effective men’s rights movement and the spirits of Madhur Bhandarkar, should make the movie “Jail”, TAX FREE.
